CAS No.: 68333-79-9
EINECS No.: 269-789-9
HS CODE: 2835.3990
is an excellent, high-efficiency and nontoxic inorganic flame retardant, used as the necessary flame-proof additive for all kinds of expanding-type flameproof paint and flame retardant products.
It can be used in powder form as an extinguishing agent in large area fires in forests, oil and coal fields.
It is used to prepare many types of high-efficiency expandable type fireproof coatings: adhesives, binders, fireproofing treatments for multi-story buildings, trains, etc. Also used in the fireproofing treatment of wood, plywood, fireboards, papers, fibres, etc.
Ammonium Polyphosphate Phase II
Molecular formula: (NH4PO3)n n n>1000
CAS No.: 68333-79-9
EINECS No.: 269-789-9
HS CODE: 2835.3990
This HFFR is a very high purity APP II made with a proprietary process that allows to manufacture APPs particularly resistant to water degradation. APPs in contact with water tend to hydrolyse into Orto Phosphates via the Polymer chain degradation. TF 201 proprietary manufacturing process allows to reach an APP polymer structure with a superior resistance to hydrolysis than most APPs in the market.
Intumescent coatings, adhesives and sealants:
TF 201 is an APP with low water solubility, it is specifically designed and suitable as an acid catalyst for intumescent coatings. It is one of the 3 active components of intumescence in coatings. Under fire heath the coating dry film melts, TF 201 together with the carbon donor (pentaerythritol) and a blowing agent (melamine), creates an insulating foam with up to 60 times the original coat thickness that avoids the structures collapse. Steel structures coated with intumescent paints based on TF 201 achieve fire protection as required by the highest safety requirements. The application of intumescent coatings containing TF 201 on other substrates than steel, like wood or plastics allow to achieve fire protection according to EN 13501-1. Where fire-resistant construction is required, such as commercial, public and residential buildings, the addition of 9 to 18% of TF 201 in adhesives and sealants provide adequate fire resistance performance.
Polyurethane foams:
TF 201 can be used as TCPP replacement in rigid PIR/PUR foams at a rate of 9 to 18 php. With TF 201 it is possible to achieve in FR structural skin foams the following rating: EE: UL 94 VO, Rail vehicle: DIN 5510, Construction industry: DIN 4102 B2, EN 13501 E. To a lesser extent, a finer grade TF 201 is suitable also in flexible PUR foams, in a variety of applications including automotive. The high hydrolytic stability and low acidity of TF 201, makes it an easy and stable additive to process in all these applications.
In cellulose containing materials, TF 201 shows an excellent FR performance: paper, wood plastics composite with high cellulose content and chipboards formulated with an add on rate of 9 to 18% of TF 201 reach the requested FR classification.

This HFFR is a longer chain APP II made with a proprietary process that allows to manufacture APPs extremely resistant to water degradation and with a higher thermal stability
This product can be used in the same applications as TF 201 where processing or end use material requires a HFFR with an higher thermal stability and a lower degradation rate to moisture and water exposure than standard APP.
Molecular formula: (NH4PO3)n n n>1000
CAS No.: 68333-79-9
EINECS No.: 269-789-9
HS CODE: 2835.3990
This HFFR is a very high purity APP II, with smaller particle size than TF 201, made with a proprietary process that allows to manufacture APPs particularly resistant to water degradation. APPs in contact with water tend to hydrolyse into Orto Phosphates via the Polymer chain degradation. TF 201 proprietary manufacturing process allows to reach an APP polymer structure with a superior resistance to hydrolysis than most APPs in the market.
This material can be used in the same applications as TF 201 where it is desirable to have a product with a smaller particle size, like in flexible PU foams and some adhesives.
