Under fire heath the coating dry film melts, TF 201 together with the carbon donor (pentaerythritol) and a blowing agent (melamine), creates an insulating foam with up to 60 times the original coat thickness that avoids the structures collapse. Steel structures coated with intumescent paints based on TF 201 achieve fire protection as required by the highest safety requirements. The application of intumescent coatings containing TF 201 on other substrates than steel, like wood or plastics allow to achieve fire protection according to EN 13501-1. Where fire-resistant construction is required, such as commercial, public and residential buildings, the addition of 9 to 18% of TF 201 in adhesives and sealants provide adequate fire resistance performance.<\/p>\n

TF 201 can be used as TCPP replacement in rigid PIR\/PUR foams at a rate of 9 to 18 php. With TF 201 it is possible to achieve in FR structural skin foams the following rating: EE: UL 94 VO, Rail vehicle: DIN 5510, Construction industry: DIN 4102 B2, EN 13501 E. To a lesser extent, a finer grade TF 201 is suitable also in flexible PUR foams, in a variety of applications including automotive. This HFFR is a medium chain APP, with low AS content, that can be used in any application where the manufacturing process requires to have the HFFR available in liquid form. It is a readily water-soluble APP, the appearance of TF 301 solutions is clear and have neutral pH. The material is white crystal with lumps due to its hygroscopicity.<\/p>\n

This product is a very effective Flame Retardant in Wood, Paper, Fibers, Textiles and FR Clear Coatings, it can be processed via simple dipping, spraying, autoclave.<\/p>\n
